Portrait Series

These portraits are of me and skateboard. This is my favorite thing to do when I am not at the beach. I took some of the pictures in the snow so it would make the picture brighter and clearer.

Silhouette

The Lighting comes from behind the subject in the picture
This is a silhouette because there is light coming from the door in the back and the subject is all dark

High Key

Bright intense, active
I think this is a high key image because of the blurred sunlight in the background. But the attention is still on the clear white snow on the bottom.

Framing

Framing is shooting through something to get the main subject behind it. The subject is “framed by something in the foreground. I really liked this picture for framing because I used a circle type objects for the frame. It really made the picture because of the numbers inside on the metal

Leading Line

A Line that leads you visually to an object or that leads into the distance creating depth. I used this picture because it shows the pole starting in the bottom left leading your eye through the picture as it blurs showing depth.

Rhythm

Objects repeating in a picture creating a feeling of depth or emphasis. I took this picture in the school’s cafeteria. I thought this was the best fit because the chairs also repeat but it is also a place I sit every day.
